We take our already perfect Fresh Goat’s Cheese and add a fine layer of edible ash to the surface. Once a traditional preserving technique, it now adds a dynamic touch to our wonderful, vibrant goat’s cheese. The ash has no flavour but adds a very slight effervescent texture to the mouthfeel of the cheese. It is the eye-catching star on any cheeseboard and is a great match with crispy bacon or buttery fried mushrooms to take your favourite potato salad up a considerable notch.
Eat with – with dense rye bread or fresh sourdough and pickled vegetables or on a toasted fruit bread drizzled with quality honey.
Drink with – icy cold dry apple or pear cider or dry and minerally wines like Semillion or Italian style whites.
